{"id":16594,"date":"2026-05-14T08:52:22","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T07:52:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.danubecommission.org\/dc\/?p=16594"},"modified":"2026-05-14T08:52:22","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T07:52:22","slug":"navigating-tomorrow-unlocking-the-future-of-inland-education-in-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.danubecommission.org\/dc\/en\/2026\/05\/14\/navigating-tomorrow-unlocking-the-future-of-inland-education-in-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"Navigating Tomorrow: Unlocking the Future of Inland Education in Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 11 May 2026, the Director-General of DC Secretariat, Mr Manfred Seitz, took part in the <a href=\"https:\/\/edinna.eu\/\">EDINNA<\/a> General Assembly 2026 (\u0160trbsk\u00e9 Pleso, Slovakia), focused on future skills and competences, harmonisation of qualifications, recruitment and labour shortages, and the role of education in a rapidly changing sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Along with speakers <a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/about\/departments-and-executive-agencies\/mobility-and-transport_en\">DGMOVE<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccr-zkr.org\/\">Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR),<\/a> the Director General of the DC Secretariat addressed the audience on challenges and opportunities in the Danube region for workforce development in inland navigation.
