Expert Meeting on Economic Analysis and Statistics (EM STAT)

On 1 October 2019, the Expert Meeting on Economic Analysis and Statistics (EM STAT), featuring experts from the Danube countries (Austria, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova, Russia, Slovakia and Ukraine), was held at the Danube Commission in Budapest. The Expert Meeting dealt with the statistics updates related to the key statistical indicators of economic situation in Danube navigation for 2016 – 2018 and information on cargo flows on the Rhine, the Main, the Main-Danube Canal, on the Danube and the Danube-Black Sea Canal, as well as the development of new methods of document production on statistical and economic matters. The experts also considered issues of international cooperation and publications in this field.
