Joint Meeting of the Inspection Bodies for Inland Navigation Vessels

The joint meeting of the ship inspection commissions, chaired by CESNI, took place in Rotterdam.

The particular value of this format lies in the direct exchange among investigation commissions from different countries regarding the practical application and interpretation of the ES-TRIN. It is precisely when addressing specific individual questions that the importance of a coordinated interpretation of technical regulations for uniform investigation practices becomes apparent. For the Danube, this exchange is of particular relevance, as it helps identify differences in national approaches at an early stage and further advance harmonization.

It was a highly valuable professional exchange that provided important impetus for the Danube Commission’s future work.
