On 24th November 2020 the General Director of the Secretariat of the Danube Commission, Manfred Seitz, took part in Meeting of the Ministers of Transport of the BSEC Member States – Connectivity and digitalization for a better future of transport, organized by Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation online in Istanbul.

The 6^th METEET workshop was held as a live webinar for Bulgaria on 26^th – 27^th November 2020. The Secretariat of the Danube Commission (DC) provided the communication tool (WebEx) as the meeting’s host.

Under the auspices of the German EU Council Presidency, the virtual ministerial conference “Inland Navigation – Key to the Green Deal” was held on 20 November 2020.

On 29^th October 2020 the European Commission launched an additional set of actions to help limit the spread of the coronavirus, save lives and strengthen the internal market’s resilience.

According to the notification by the competent authorities of Hungary (Notice to Skippers No. 73/Du/2020 of 26^th October 2020), navigation at km 1643.200 of the Danube will be suspended for 48 hours from 9 a.m. on 18^th November 2020 till 9 a.m. on 20^th November 2020 due to repair work on the railway bridge.
