Danube Commission 70
Following up the 2018 year events on the occasion of 70th anniversary of the signature of the Convention regarding the regime of navigation on the Danube, the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and the Danube Commission has issued in a single publication the materials of organized activities listed below:
- exhibition on the occasion of the 70 years of Belgrade Convention (opened on 7th March 2018 in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary),
- Ministerial conference on the “Danube Commission – strengthening the partnership in free navigation on the Danube” (organized by the Serbian part and timed to the 90th session of the Danube Commission held in Belgrade on 29th June 2018),
- celebratory reception on the occasion of establishment of the Danube Commission and 70th anniversary of the signature of the Belgrade Convention (hosted by the Hungarian part on board the “Budapest” Ship on 2nd October 2018),
- Conference on Danube Commission 70 years – Inland Navigation: Diagnosis, Institutions and Visions in Europe (that took place in the premises of Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary on 13th November 2018).
This publication, entitled “Danube Commission 70”, provides an overview of the occurred developments, statements of the participants and guest speakers, as well as the outcome documents of the events.
